INOVATECH INTRODUCES VITALUS NUTRITION INC.
ABBOTSFORD, February 2, 2004 - Inovatech announced today that effective immediately the former Nutrition Division of Inovatech will be named Vitalus Nutrition Inc. It will continue the management and operations of the former Nutrition Division and will maintain its customer service and worldwide markets.
Vitalus Nutrition Inc. manufactures a wide variety of specialty proteins, with a strong emphasis on value-added dairy proteins such as Whey Protein Isolates and Concentrates. Under the brand name INPRO 90 are included two proprietary types of Whey Protein Isolate: Heat Stable and Low Lactose.
The name Vitalus has roots in the Latin words vita and viviere, meaning 'to live'; hence, the word "vitalus" conveys 'life'. Vitalus Nutrition Inc.'s new corporate slogan, "Vitality through Nutrition" speaks of its commitment to producing high quality nutritional ingredients, which promote vitality, health and well being.

Inovatech, based in Abbotsford, BC, was formed in 1993 through a combination of family businesses founded in the late 1950s that operated primarily in the Canadian egg processing business. Through its growth over the years, Inovatech had successfully created three unique businesses. In August 2002, the egg product division was sold to MFI Food Canada Ltd., a wholly owned Canadian subsidiary of Michael Foods, Inc. Inovatech continues to operate its BioProducts business, which is one of the world's leading producers of biologically active proteins such as lysozyme, pancreatic enzyme and various specialty ovo-products.
